The Infinite Grace of Shiva : Devotional Verses

That cosmic dancer’s charm

knows no bounds.

He covers himself with ashes

and lives in the burial ground.

​Crescent moon on his head

represents wisdom beyond

the mind.

Vasuki coils itself around his

neck as it is homebound.

His immunity to wrath of

time leaves everyone spellbound.

​His love for Parvati makes

kailasha snow crowned.

His half open eyes conveys

the cycle of Universe that

goes round and round.

​Vibrations of his damru

fuse together and create

marvellous sound.

Jet of holy water from his

head quenches the thirst

of the ground.

​His ability to reject all desires

leaves everyone astound.

His lust free nature is destroyer

of all evil and ignorance around.

His many secrets still need

to be unwound.

​Lord, I bow down to you.

Please, keep me safe and sound.
